1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how the personal portfolio site of Damian Nass handles your data. The site is informational, contains a contact section protected by Google reCAPTCHA, and is hosted as a static website.

2. What data is collected

The site does not run analytics, advertising, or user accounts. The only data that may be processed is:

  • Information you provide when you email me (your email address and message content).
  • Technical data captured by security and hosting logs (such as IP address, browser, and request details).
  • Data processed by Google reCAPTCHA when you choose to reveal the contact details after consenting to optional cookies.

3. Contact data processing

The contact section uses Google reCAPTCHA to prevent automated abuse. After successful verification, it displays a mailto link and phone numbers. No contact messages are stored on the site; any email you send is handled by your email provider and my mailbox. I do not maintain a marketing list.

4. Server logs and hosting

The site is hosted on Azure Static Web Apps. Standard server logs may include IP address, user agent, and request path for security and reliability. Logs are kept only for operational needs and follow the platform's retention practices.

5. Cookies

A single necessary cookie stores your cookie banner choice. Optional cookies may be set by Google reCAPTCHA when you choose to load it. Details are described in the Cookie Policy.

6. Third-party services

  • Google reCAPTCHA: loads only after you consent to optional cookies to protect the contact area; Google may receive your IP address, device, and interaction data.
  • Google Fonts: delivers typography and receives your IP address to serve font files; no profiling cookies are set.
  • CDN assets: Bootstrap, jQuery, and other static libraries are loaded from this site or trusted CDNs purely to render the page.
  • Hosting: Azure Static Web Apps stores transient logs for security and performance.

7. Data storage and retention

The site does not maintain user accounts or databases. reCAPTCHA tokens are used only for verification and are not stored by this site. Emails you send are retained in my mailbox only as long as needed to handle the conversation or comply with legal obligations.

8. Your rights

You can request access to or deletion of personal data you shared (for example, email correspondence). If you revoke consent for optional cookies, reCAPTCHA will not load until you enable it again via the cookie banner.
